Program Specialist

Major duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Analyzes the LMS program and advises management of the program's effectiveness for DTE and OSHA. Reviews LMS education and inputs training data. Prepares and analyzes enrollment data and other reports utilizing automated data processing. Responds to verbal and written inquiries for information relating to course content, course availability, and registration options; coordinates annual course schedule and updates. Develops and disseminates information regarding prerequisite and requested training, course scheduling; creates, maintains, and manages OTI class schedule and non-DOL student accounts in the LMS. Assists in the development of plans and guidelines to establish, implement, monitor, and evaluate internal management and administrative processes and controls, in such areas as registration and training record management systems. Collects and organizes appropriate student enrollment data and provides training material preparation and distribution requirements to staff. Conducts LMS training programs for all supervisors and employees. Initiates and modifies course rosters, informational correspondence and certificates of completion; advises participants of course changes and assists in rescheduling activities. Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, in the Federal Service:

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-7, in the Federal Service. For the GS-07:
Specialized experience is defined as experience in at least one of the following:
Managing a web based Learning Management system or database for more than 50 users Providing training or guidance to Learning Management System or database users. OR Substitution of Experience GS-07:
One year (1) of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement. Information regarding S.A.A can be found in OPM's General Schedule Qualification Policies. For the GS-09:
Specialized experience is defined as experience in the following:
Managing a web based Learning Management system or database for more than 50 users Providing training or guidance to Learning Management System or database users. OR Substitution of Experience GS-09:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
