Training Specialist

Major duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Video record webinars; follow DTE video recording process, correctly use equipment, set up scenes. Video record OTI course demonstrations. Assist with compiling content for video storyboard. Assist DTE and/or other SMEs to design training product formats using approved processes for instructional design and training delivery. Support OSHA product creation or conversion activities for diverse training audiences; this includes translation from English to another language. Conduct usability test on technology-based training products; report results to author. Monitor status of OSHA training courses documentation for OETD Director using monthly progress reports and cDB system reports. Assist with tasks related to the status of the OTI Education Centers and outreach course documentation quality and completeness. Support OETD staff, projects, etc. by working collaboratively with team. Assist in scheduling DTE technology training sessions and/or conduct technology training. Support OTPA projects (e.g., annual Susan Harwood Grant Program review process tasks, OTIEC webinars, etc.) Education Undergraduate and Graduate Education:

To qualify for the GS-7 Grade Level, Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-5, Specialized experience is defined as
Experience:
Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. Designing, developing, evaluating, and assessing the effectiveness of training products and projects for online or other distance-learning training programs. Communication and collaboration skills, providing technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders, in the production of a variety of training programs or products. Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study -- education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. To qualify for the GS-7:
1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement (S.A.A). S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership. Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. Grade-point average (G.P.A.)-- Applicants must have a grade-point average of:
(a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society. To qualify for the GS-9:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a LL.B. or J.D. Education must have major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Combination of Education and
Experience:
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position. To Qualify for the GS-11:
A. have completed 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree, with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, or completed the requirements for such a degree in a related field; OR B. have a combination of post baccalaureate education and experience that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
