Quality Assurance Specialist (Electronics)
This position is designated as Emergency-Essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, incumbent will be subject to deployment on a TDY basis to overseas duty location(s) to perform assigned duties particular to the deployment. Failure to deploy when required and/or meet the medical requirements of deployment status may result in separation from Federal Service. Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Experience required:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized Experience required:
To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as:
Independent performance of electronics in quality assurance processes that can be applied to audit, inspect and accept specialized and unique quality assurance processes. Utilize risk assessment strategies to analyze processes and identify any required corrective actions and provide solutions when discrepancies are identified. Application of statistical and quality data analysis evaluations to determine compliance with requirements. Perform acceptability inspections of quality management systems. Education can be substituted for experience. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
