THE OPPORTUNITYThe Technical IT Project Manager is accountable for managing a variety of Infrastructure projects from Initiation to Closure including budget management and progress reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
Main responsibilities of the role:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously that may include vendor-based software implementations, infrastructure changes, cybersecurity initiatives or combinations of each.
Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
Control timeline of the project, communicate with the stakeholders and meet deadlines.
Monitor project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
Collaborate with IT Delivery, Operations, Security teams and Vendors.
Anticipate and mitigate project risks to avoid impacts to timelines and deliverables.
Identify, communicate, and assist teams in removing roadblocks.
Facilitate project team meetings effectively and status/update meetings with project teams.
Communicate project progress by producing project reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to Project Teams and IT Leadership.
What you'll need to have:

years of experience in leading IT Infrastructure, network, security related projects required.
University degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Familiarization with project management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project.
Project management using Waterfall, Agile/Iterative methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience as well as presenting business outcomes to technical teams.
Specifically, you will need:
Ability to lead projects that could include various types of technologies including, but not limited to:
Network (Local Area, Wide Area, Border, Manufacturing Segmentation, Data Center, Wireless), Telecom/Voice, Data Center, Audio Visual, Physical Infrastructure, Cyber Security, Server/StorageStrong analytical skills, including demonstrated proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePointAbility to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls, and monitoring processes.
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to lead meetings and communicate course of action effectively.
PMP or ACP certification is a plus.
Location:
Our team is spread globally but our two largest hubs are in Schaumburg, IL, and Decatur IL.
This role can be based in either location with occasional travel into the respective plant facility offices for meetings.

Salary:
$48 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
