- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment using aseptic technique - Assemble and package sterile supplies and instruments for use in medical procedures - Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure proper sterilization and storage of equipment - Monitor and maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies for procedures - Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to understand the proper handling and care of medical instruments - Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and procedures - Understanding of medical terminology to accurately identify and label instruments - Attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and guidelines - Strong organizational skills to maintain inventory and track equipment usage - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment Note:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Educator is preferred but not required.
Training will be provided for candidates without certification.
