Sr Manager, Chemical Management at Intertek Group in Arlington Heights, IL
Intertek Assuris is actively seeking a Sr. Manager, Chemical Management to join the Premiums Assurance Team (PA) to provide comprehensive safety consulting services and help build, protect, and enhance clients brands. How you will make an impact at Intertek Assuris:
Develop global chemical management strategy for clients and work with supply chains to implement solutions through multiple organizations. Provide thought leadership to continuously improve established policies and standards utilizing knowledge gained from industry and cross-functional best practices. Lead the strategic development of global chemical management strategies. Develop innovative solutions to help customers meet essential safety and regulatory requirements. Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of end-to-end chemical safety governance from the raw material stage through product development and market surveillance. Serve as the primary reviewer for material qualification, including review of formulations, test reports, and toxicological risk assessments, development of test plans, etc. Develop chemical safety solutions for consumer products including recycled plastic/paper and bio-based materials. Identify business growth opportunities to support customer safety and sustainability initiatives. Identify and provide insight on emerging issues in safety and sustainability. Prepare proposals and oversee project execution. Promote cross pollination practices across functional teams around the globe. What it takes to be successful in this role:
PhD in chemistry. Minimum 5 years of experience in Chemical Management or related field. Working experience in plastic recycling preferred. Strong leadership skills demonstrating strategic thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong project management skills in developing project timelines with multiple cross-functional teams and goals. Demonstrated critical competencies in collaboration and project delivery. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and customer driven environment. Knowledge of IT solutions for chemical management a plus
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Chemical Engineering, Physical SciencesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
